SUZANNE AND TRAVIS'S WEDDING

October, 2009 in Wheaton

"Our wedding was absolutely wonderful. The day was a tremendously satisfying culmination of all those months of planning, and a beautiful beginning to our new life together. My love of autumn shone through in all of the details, and we hope our love for the Lord, one another, and our family and friends was observed and felt by all."

Invitations Vendor:

Staples

Invitations Vendor:

Megan France

611 Polo Drive
Wheaton, IL 60187, United States

"When it comes to handwriting, Megan is an artist. She did a beautiful job addressing my wedding invitations, and I received lots of positive comments from guests."

Invitations Vendor:

Paper Source

Murphy, CA, USA

"I purchased the paper for my invitations (which I designed and had printed myself) from Paper Source, both in-store (at the Oak Park location) and online. Bargain shopper that I am, I designed my invites using paper that was on clearance for 50% off...only hitch was that clearance merch is non-returnable, and sometimes hard to find what you need, so there's some risk involved with that approach. But if you can make it work, you get beautiful paper for a great price! Plus, they offer a volume discount (even on clearance merch) when you order 10 pkgs or more of the same item."

"We were 100% satisfied with Kaiti. Thanks to her, we have stunning photos from both our engagement session and wedding day. Kaiti has a terrific eye for detail, color, and composition. She specializes in the photojournalistic/ story-telling type of wedding photography. She's great at really listening to the client and working with them to capture the shots they most desire. I would (and do!) recommend her friends and family."

Restaurants:

Gino's East Pizza

"What's a visit to the Windy City without some Chicago-style deep dish pizza?! To get your fix, visit Gino's East in downtown Wheaton."

Restaurants:

Pita Paradise

161 S Schmale Rd
Carol Stream, IL, United States

"Another strip mall gem, this little family owned restaurant offers delicious Mediterranean cuisine. Don't go for the ambiance (there isn't much), but do go for the friendly service and great food. Suzanne personally recommends the chicken shawerma sandwich. The hummus is also quite tasty!"

Restaurants:

Portillo's Hot Dogs

235 North Ave
Glendale Heights, IL, United States

"A Chicagoland tradition! Portillo's started in 1963 with Dick Portillo selling hot dogs out of a small trailer. They've expanded a lot since then, to include over 40 restaurants throughout the Chicagoland area. Still known for hot dogs, Portillo's also offers great burgers, salads, and pastas. (The chopped salad is Travis' favorite.) You'll want to save room for dessert, too! The chocolate eclair cake and "cake shake" are indulgent treats."

Restaurants:

Sushi Bar & Japanese Restaurant

"One of the best and most economical places for sushi in the western suburbs. Don't be put off by the location (an unassuming strip mall)--the quality and selection is superb!"

Attractions:

Morton Arboretum

4100 Illinois Rte 53
Lisle, IL, United States

"The Arboretum is one of our favorite places to go hiking (and in the winter, snowshoeing). A natural sanctuary in the midst of the western suburbs, the Morton Arboretum has miles of roads and trails that run through woods and meadows alike, over gentle hills and around tranquil lakes. For kids (and playful adults) there's also a great Children's Garden and shrub maze. Featuring over 4,000 kinds of trees, shrubs, and plants, there's always something in season. The first weekend in October usually kicks off the Arboretum's Fall Color Festival, which features extra events. Visit the website for more info. Open from 7 a.m. til sunset."

Including, of course, "The Bean" (officially known as Cloud Gate)."
