Hi Adam & Bobie -congratulations on your wedding! We are planning a wedding on Sunset Beach and with the reception back at our beach house, but I'm having trouble deciding on a vendor -did you have a caterer serve at the house or did you do the food yourself? I was also thinking of having Seaside Bakery, as you did -were you happy with it? We live in Massachusetts, but I'm flying down 2/27-3/3 to visit my parents (they live in SSB) and also do some research for vendors, but would love to get your thoughts/opinions... My sister and I are planning a wedding for next June to the NC coast, we are looking at Ocean Isle/Oak Island and surrounding areas as our destination. We live out of state however. I read through your information on wedding mapper and was wondering if you had to get any permits to have your wedding on the beach?

Hi there and congrats on your wedding! I am getting married in October next year and am DESPERATE to find something accessible for my handicapped mom without compromising my dream of a beach wedding. Ideally, I'd love to have the ceremony on the beach before heading back to a house or other venue. Can you please tell me some details about how your handicapped guest was able to enjoy your ceremony? Did you bring him/her onto the beach? What does "handicap beach access" mean exactly? Any other helpful hints for pulling off a beach wedding while keeping my mom's disability in mind?

My Dauhter is wanting to get married on the beach next May 2011, we live in Lexington NC. My question is who helped you, did you need a permit for using the beach,could you setup an arch. where did you hold your reception? She wants a nice wedding and reception on a small budget we are thinking $2000.00 Please help with all the information you can give. Thank You, Tammy
