OUR WEDDING

September, 2009 in Urbana

"We chose to customize our wedding rather than going with an all-in-one venue/package. Things could not have turned out more beautifully!! Here are some of the people who helped us make our dream wedding a day to remember and cherish. (Scroll down for individual vendor reviews.)"

Caterer:

Creative Catering of Champaign-Urbana

"Fresh, healthy, and delicious food at a phenomenal price! The owner worked with us to customize our menu and was able to provide linens at a fraction of the cost we found elsewhere. When the event came, the presentation and service was elegant and professional."

Wedding Fashion Vendor:

Bridals By Ducky's

134 E University Ave
Champaign, IL, United States

"This business is NOT concerned with customer satisfaction or service. Although they did fine with the bridesmaid dresses and tuxes, the bridal gown that was received was not the same as the gown ordered. In fact, the gown came in wrong twice. The tipping point, though, was a manager yelling at the bride and saying that his obligation was to his vendor."

Wedding Fashion Vendor:

Michelle's Bridal

2210 N Willow Rd
Urbana, IL, United States

"The selection of bridal gowns did not seem to offer the desired variety, but they are certainly dedicated and professional. When Ducky's could not provide me with the gown ordered, Michelle's was able to get me a beautiful gown in a flash! Every member of their team is competent and dedicated to the customer."

Ceremony:

UI Arboretum

The only drawback is that there are no facilities, so rentals are needed. (We recommend Illinois Portable Toilet, whose comfort stations are classy enough for even formal functions.)"
