The White Room

"As soon as we visited the White Room we knew it was the wedding location for us. A little pricey, but in the end it seemed so worth it to us. The ceremony took place on the rooftop and turned out beautifully! The view is so pretty and it's just a great location. It was a little windy that day, however, so we were unable to use the aisle runner that we purchased...we discovered later that it was accidentally thrown away by the staff during clean up, which was pretty disappointing, but mistakes happen! The reception space we used, the Ballroom, is absolutely gorgeous. It's an ideal place for being able to convey YOUR vision for your reception. Hardwood floors, LOTS of windows and very neutral...no ugly carpet or walls to contend with when deciding on your decor. The food is delicious, but we did hear later on that it took a little while for the staff to begin serving the appetizers once everyone was seated and were waiting on the Bridal Party (as a side note: because of the location, I would recommend taking as many of your photos BEFORE the ceremony as possible). And there were no appetizers set aside for my husband and I, even though we requested that before the wedding. :( I think our guests must have been really hungry! Because it's St. Augustine, parking is an issue, but we arranged for guests to park in the parking garage and the trolley dropped people off right in front of the venue, as well as bringing them back to the garage. Too bad a few of our guests didn't pay enough attention to the Direction Card that we included in the invitation...They drove all the way down, couldn't find a parking place close to The White Room, then left out of frustration! Parking garage, people! All in all, the day ended up being pretty close to perfect for us. Little things always go wrong, but the staff here does a great job of making sure they take care of it without worrying you about anything. I can't imagine my wedding day having been anywhere else."
