Attraction:

El Malecon - Attraction -

El Malecon

"The Malecon is the mile-long oceanfront boardwalk that runs along the main downtown street. It begins near the first hotel built in Vallarta in the 1940s, the Hotel Rosita, and ends at an open-air theater called "Los Arcos," or The Arches. Along the Malecon visitors can be seen watching the surf from the many benches or taking pictures of the many famous sculptures. On the opposite side of the street many restaurants offer stunning views and are a popular place to watch the sun set over beautiful Banderas Bay."

Attraction:

La Iglesia de Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe - Attraction -

La Iglesia de Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe

"La Iglesia de Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe is the heart of Puerto Vallarta religious life, and is the focal point of an elaborate 12-day festival each December. The structure itself was built during a 12-year period beginning in 1929. The interior is filled with hand-carved columns, decorative moldings and other rich detailing. An earthquake damaged the ornate crown that originally adorned the church. It was replaced, but the repair still creates controversy. The original crown is said to have been modeled after a tiara worn by the mistress of the Emperor Maximilian."
