A nine-acre expanse with sweeping views of Elliott Bay and the Olympic Mountains (hence its name). Pedestrians move on a Z-shaped walkway toward 900 feet of restored beachfront, passing by large-scale, permanent sculptures by some of the best-known names in contemporary art: Alexander Calder (his “Eagle”), Louise Bourgeois, Ellsworth Kelly, Claes Oldenburg, Mark di Suvero, Tony Smith — but the largest piece, and perhaps the park’s signature, Richard Serra’s 300-ton “Wake.”
