"With the term "world class" bantered about indiscriminately (and optimistically) these days by politicians the listener becomes understandably jaded. VMFA, though, truly fits the bill. A shockingly comprehensive art museum, VMFA is the largest such in the South."

"Well worth a visit - the Tiffany collection is one of my favorites. Whitney's fiance Andrew works here as a chef. Whitney's my maid of honor, for those who have lost track. -LCS"

Kristin and John's Wedding
Richmond   |   May, 2008   |   Attractions

"With the term "world class" bantered about indiscriminately (and optimistically) these days by politicians (and economic developers), the listener becomes understandably jaded. VMFA, though, truly fits the bill. A shockingly comprehensive art museum, VMFA is the largest such in the South. Even John's best cocktail dilettantism can't pretend to speak knowledgeably about the content, but word is, it's macdaddy (not a museum term). Russian (czarist) aficionados will enjoy the Faberge eggs. Note: the museum in undergoing a $100+ million expansion, so there'll be macdaddy construction."

"We loved the Pauley Center. From the moment that we walked in, we knew were in the right place. The staff is fantastic and were a delight to work with from the very beginning. We had a late afternoon reception in May and took full advantage of the patio under the tent. We also had a lot of children attending our reception, and they loved playing on the lawn. The inside of the venue had the exact look and feel that wanted for our reception."
