"There are many bars and restaurants that make up Downtown Mystic (there are also cute little shops too). Some restaurants we recommend - Anthony J's Bistro (tiny, no reservations, but good food!), Rice Spice Noodle (a little further up Route 1 but great Asian food), and Bravo Bravo (try the risotto). Some bars we recommend - Harp and Hound (fun Irish pub on Water St.), Daniel Packer Inn (cozy bar on the lower level that has live music on weekends; fine dining upstairs), and Margaritas (top floor is a bar that is usually pretty lively during the summer; restaurant serves Mexican food that's pretty good). If you are looking for something quieter, a stroll over the Mystic drawbridge and some icecream at Mystic Drawbridge Ice Cream is a nice way to spend an afternoon or evening."
