"Wonderful large ballroom. Very Charlestonian. Catered food was brought in. Definitely reccommend. Also good for a reception if smaller than 200 people."

"The South Carolina Society Hall is exquisite. It hardly even needs any decorating. The building was completed in 1802 and the grand ballroom is truly a romantic place to hold a reception. However, you will need to rent EVERYTHING, which can get pretty expensive, and the ballroom is only really big enough to hold less than 100 people. We had 60 or so and it was the perfect number. I don't think there is a prettier venue in Charleston."
