"Good food, especially the lunch menu. Great view of the river and there is an actual civil war map drawn on the wall (preserved in an air-tight case) from when the confederates used the building as a headquarters. Can be a little pricey."

"Felicia and Joey were wonderful! They were on top of everything - and delivered exactly what we requested! We had our reception in Dieter's Den with about 37 people. This smaller room is very intimate and was perfect for the luncheon we had in mind. I also showed them a picture of the bouquet that I was having made by my florist, and they worked with the same exact flowers and colors and created lovely table center pieces also. The shrimp and grits and vegetable lasagna were delicious! The wait staff was also extremely nice and very attentive. Amazing experience."

"The staff was friendly, efficient and courteous. The food was excellent and the room is beautiful! Drinks are just a tiny bit expensive, but I believe that is to be expected at banquet venues. One of the best decisions we made for our wedding."

"We choose Vics because of the beautiful room, great location, and geat food. We did have a few "extra" touches that they were able to accomodate, and everyone loved it while we were there and it looked great. On the down side, it was difficult at times to reach the person in charge of the room. It certainly is not the least expensive place in town, and they ended up neglecting to serve the appetizers to guests. No one went hungry, but there wasnt anyone around to fix it that evening. (No one knew but me!) Be careful to read all of the details on the contracts. Despite a few difficulties, would recommend this place, especially if you want a real "southern" dinner. (Shrimp and grits! Yum!)"

"The view is beautiful from the banquet room, and the balconies are great, but although we've enjoyed every meal we've ever eaten there, the food wasn't very good when prepared in bulk. They also allowed us to stay well past our time frame (and left the bar open) thus ended up charging us much more than we had expected to pay. Yes, our fault that our guests drank so much, but their fault that they did not close the bar when the party was technically "over.""

"We rented the smaller banquet room for the receptiona nd it was very nice. There was a great view of the rivver and it was very small and romantic. There was 15 of us in all and it was the perfect size. The food was WONDERFUL! They told us they would decorate the table and add flowers, but I didn't realize how much effort ther were goign to put into it. I was very impressed with the way it turned out. There is a balcony and larger banquet room upstairs and our photographer took pictures in those loactions as well aand the pictures turned out beautifully!"

"Love love love Vics on the River. Karen and Sarah so such an ecellent job with the banquet space. They created an amazing candy bar for me and the tables they did looked amazing. The food and bar was excellent. Cannot wait to go back to Vics when we're in Savannah."
