Once the largest distillery in the British Empire, the Distillery District is Toronto’s first pedestrian village and is a national historic site. The brick-lined streets are now a great place for galleries, entertainment, restaurants and boutiques. The 5th annual Parti-Gras festival, a celebration of music and culture, begins July 20th. Heartily recommended is Perigee restaurant and its Omakase-style menu. Reservations are a must as the restaurant seats 35.
