"The site itself at Vikingsholm park overlooking Emerald bay must be cleared through the California Parks department, and you must get a permit for the use of the facility from them. The reception was fantastic, but we did all the decorations ourselves. We were able to have food for 100, a dance floor, and a great view of the lake from the floor to ceiling windows overlooking the water for a very reasonable cost. Although, I will tell you that our actual ceremony at the Vikingsholm overlook was rather windy and it was hard to be heard."
