"The historic area around Fulton Street boasts some of the oldest architecture in Manhattan. The three-floored Pier 17 Pavilion has plenty of restaurants and bars, some high-end, some pubby, and a good number serving seafood and daiquiris to customers sitting waterside. The promenade wrapping around the pavilion is a good place for a stroll, as it offers a close-up view of the Brooklyn Bridge, as well as views of Brooklyn and Governors Island across the harbor."

What used to be a bustling seaport in the 18th and 19th centuries, South Street Seaport now encompasses newly restored buildings, which house a variety of restaurants, specialty food shops and boutiques. Also, nearby, the South Street Seaport Museum is located within the 12 square block Landmark Historic District that stretches from Fulton Street to the Brooklyn Bridge. Take the 2, 3, 4, 5, J, or M train to Fulton Street, or the A or C train to Broadway-Nassau. Phone: (212) SEA-PORT.

One of the most popular ways to get discount tickets to see Broadway and Off-Broadway productions is through the TKTS booths. The downside is that you have to wait on line to get the tickets. Tickets are available for same-day performances and matinees, which are sold a day in advance, generally at 50% or 25% off the full ticket price.
