Gray Auditorium at Old Salem is a beautiful location for a wedding reception! We really enjoyed working with the event coordinator Tabatha Renegar. She always made me feel like my wedding was just as important to her as it was to me.

Tabatha at Old Salem was fantastic. She helped us every step of the way. We had access to the site for the entire weekend. An excellent place for a ceremony and reception.

The Candle Tea, regarded by many as the opening event of the Christmas season in Winston-Salem, will again be held in the historic Single Brothers' House on Salem Square, which was built in 1769. Guests are greeted by hosts in early Moravian costumes and are guided through the Chapel for singing Christmas carols, the dining room where beeswax candles are being made, the kitchen where sugar cake and coffee are being served, and the two rooms in the sub-basement where the Putz is on display. (The word "putz" is of Germanic origin and means "to decorate".) The two sections of the Putz include a replica of Salem as it would have appeared in the early 1900’s. The Nativity scene displays for us the birth of the Christ Child.
