"Rehearsal Dinner"

Our Wedding
St Louis   |   May, 2010   |   Ceremony

"This was a lovely venue with a helpful staff. There are a couple of reasons I am giving it only three stars (I would really give it 3.5 stars). First, if you aren't hiring live musicians to play for your ceremony, you have to provide your own sound system for your music. I got really lucky and a friend was able to help us out for free but it might be a little costly if you don't know the right people. The second reason I gave it 3 stars is parking. Now, I wouldn't expect it to have a vast parking lot since it is in the middle of a park, but they didn't have any handicap parking or reserved parking for the bride and groom. This is something that is really minor in the context of what is actually going on that day but if it is something that is important to you, then you should keep this in mind. In terms of beauty and elegance, though, we couldn't have chosen a better spot for the price in St. Louis. I would recommend this place."

Saint Louis Wedding In November

"I loved the Piper Palm House! My wedding was everything I wanted, my friend had her wedding there about 3 months after, and it was totally different, I know they say they wont help you set up anything, or help you get things organized, my wedding they did, but my friends they didnt at all, and it was hot in the building for her day, it felt perfect for mine, so I guess it depends on who you get. But the ceremony was so beautiful, if you want a different ceremony than in a church!"

Saint Louis Wedding In September

"The best hidden treasure in St. Louis. We mazimized the space available (it fit 150 tightly inside) by adding a tent on the patio for dancing. Of course, we lucked out by having a crisp, clear night (if it had rained, dancing would have been awkward). It was stunning, wouldn't change a thing!"

"Although some construction fencing was still in place due to an overhaul of the ponds, the location was still beautiful. We had the ceremony inside due to weather, and then the sun came out in time for pictures. The reception was set up beautifully, and the food was great. This place doesn't need much decoration, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a garden wedding, with option of inside. You only have one choice for catering due to contractual issues, but the food is good, if a little pricey."
