"PREPARE FOR STRESS IF YOU BOOK WITH THE LOWELL INN! They just opened the banquet center, and are not used to customer service, dealing with weddings, or brides. The Lowell Inn was the hardest place to work with. The owner told me I could do things for the wedding, and then said no after we booked (or that they would need to charge me more money), they don't have a wedding coordinator so you are stuck dealing with a different person each time. Then they tell you different things when you come in. The owner is rude. She was rude to my guests and myself (the bride) the day of the wedding. Watch your bills, they sent me higher rates a couple months after sending me a confirmation email. I needed to get out a calculator to add up the total because they would add extra changes. Regardign the hotel rooms, they lost some of my guest’s reservations. Actually lost my registration for the Honey moon suite and booked it to another couple (they resolved it). Thank God I had the confirmation email. They don’t have storage, so what you see in the room, needs to stay in the room… They will not talk down extra tables for you… Also, be prepared to need to hire a wedding coordinator if you book at the Lowell. They won’t let you set up for your wedding until 3 pm… unless you want to pay for another room rental fee ($1,000). I needed to hire a coordinator and 3 assistants. Not what I had budgeted for. The owner said we could have “all day” to set up for the wedding before we booked it… which wasn’t true. The pluses- food is great, and Alex at the front desk and Jeannie the Chef are amazing and great to deal with. I like the old charm. But, not work the hassles!"
