This is a great place to come and enjoy some of the lake-related activities in Minnesota. There are actually 5 lakes in the Chain of Lakes, but Lake Calhoun is one of the most popular. You can walk the 3.1 mile path, rent canoes, or simply people watch.

The path around the lake is 3.2 miles for bicycles and skaters and 3.1 for walkers and runners. There are also three beaches spread around the lake and several playgrounds. One can rent paddle boats, canoes, etc.

These lakes are beautiful! If you're renting a car or driving here I would highly recommend checking out this area. The lakes are beautiful and the houses around here are an attraction in themselves...
