"FANFREAKINGTASTIC! Amazing to work with, extremely flexible, realistic, experienced and caring. We had about 120 guests at our wedding and a few months later are still hearing awesome feedback about the shin dig! The food was incredible at Elsie's and the service was beyond amazing! The overall atmosphere was fun and relaxing, offering an outdoor patio with views of the downtown Minneapolis skyline, bowling and drinks. The reception room where we had dinner was sophisticated and classy, too, so had the very best of both worlds. I was in tears trying to find the place that fit our type of event, and when we found Elsie's it was a dream come true! Paula, their event coordinator, was supportive along the way with planning, helped me troubleshoot sticky logistics, and helped things run smoothly the evening of the celebration. "Elsie's was simply amazing. The food was delicious, too! The evening went so smoothly and I never had to worry about anything. We had to shift some activities around, due to people needing to leave, and they were extremely flexible. The staff was patient and attentive. I will definitely have another event at Elsie's! I highly recommend Elsie's to anyone interested in having a small, elegant, simple reception."

"Elsie's is the best! You probably wouldn't find it listed in many wedding magazines. The main part is a bowling alley and karaoke bar but they have an unexpectedly elegant reception room, an awesome event coordinator (Paula), has a dance floor and is equipped for iPods if you don't get a DJ. Capacity is about 150. Extremely affordable. We fed 95 people and had an open beer/wine bar for $3,000."
