Detroit Wedding In October
Detroit   |   October, 2014   |   Entertainment

"If you're a car or history buff, take a drive (about 20 minutes) to Greenfield Village to see Ford's Rouge Plant (where the F-150 is made) or visit history at Greenfield Village"

Dearborn Wedding In June
Dearborn   |   June, 2011   |   Attractions

"Entering Greenfield Village is like stepping into an 80-acre time machine. It takes you back to the sights, sounds and sensations of America’s past. There are 83 authentic, historic structures, from Noah Webster’s home, where he wrote the first American dictionary, to Thomas Edison’s Menlo Park laboratory, to the courthouse where Abraham Lincoln practiced law. The buildings and the things to see are only the beginning. There’s the fun stuff, too. In Greenfield Village, you can ride in a genuine Model T or “pull” glass with world-class artisans; you can watch 1867 baseball or ride a train with a 19th-century steam engine. It’s a place where you can choose your lunch from an 1850s menu or spend a quiet moment pondering the home and workshop where the Wright brothers invented the airplane. Greenfield Village is a celebration of people — people whose unbridled optimism came to define modern-day America."

"Tourists Trap for The Henry Ford Museum."

Carrie and Matt's Wedding
Ann Arbor   |   August, 2009   |   Attraction

"Henry Ford Museum and its adjacent Greenfield Village were conceived by Ford as a learning institution where Americans could learn how their ancestors lived and worked in the past — specifically Henry Ford's past, the latter half of the nineteenth century and early portion of the twentieth. Ford believed that the precepts he had learned growing up in rural and small town Midwest America was responsible for his success and that of other Americans such as Thomas Edison, George Washington Carver, and the Wright Brothers. Thomas Edison himself signed the cornerstone of "The Edison Institute," as it was originally known, in 1928. Then Ford began to fill the 8-acre building with what, at the time, many considered flea market fodder. Today, of course, they are priceless relics. See the actual chair that Abraham Lincoln was sitting in when he was shot....also the Kennedy presidential limousine! For our engineer wedding guests, you can go on factory tours!"
