Maura and Max's Wedding
New Orleans   |   October, 2008   |   Restaurant

"Originally built for its namesake, had he decided to spend his exile in Louisiana... Great muffulettas here, and we would suggest dining in the courtyard. Oh, and don't leave here without trying a Pimm's Cup. Can't be beat."

Josie and Sean's Wedding
New Orleans   |   September, 2008   |   Bar

"Old, old, old bar. The legend is this was offered as a safe-house to Napoleon when things weren't going so well for him. Now, it's a spot to try a refreshing and fabulous Pimm's Cup, complete with cucumber slice. Only open 11-5:30."

Jen and Brendan's Wedding
New Orleans   |   August, 2008   |   Restaurant

"There's a rumor that this site was the actual residence of Napoleon Bonaparte during his exile. While this may or may not be true, it's a fun spot to sit at a table wedged into a window and watch passersby (FYI: the mufalettas are ginormous!). They stop serving food around 5pm, though you can get a drink well into the night."

Ashley and Adam's NOLA Wedding Guide
New Orleans   |   June, 2008   |   Attractions

"A lovely restaurant with extensive local menu, the courtyard next to the fountain or a dark promotes conversation, the bartender serves the famous Pimm's Cup, and the builing itself is something to soak in. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Taken from the website: Few places capture the essence of New Orleans like the Napoleon House: A 200 year old landmark that's as casual and unique as its French Quarter surroundings. The building's first occupant, Nicholas Girod, was mayor of New Orleans from 1812 to 1815. He offered his residence to Napoleon in 1821 as a refuge during his exile. Napoleon never made it, but the name stuck, and since then, the Napoleon House has become one of the most famous bars in America, a haunt for artists and writers throughout most of the 20th century. Owned and operated by the Impastato family since 1914, it's a place that suspends you in time, where you can hear Beethoven's Eroiqua, which he composed for Napoleon, and the music of other classical masters, while sipping a Pimm's Cup, and basking in an ambiance that could only be New Orleans. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- The historic New Orleans Pharmacy Museum is next door: http://www.pharmacymuseum.org/index.html"
