The aquarium is right on the river, so then afterwards, you can take a stroll alongside the Mighty Mississippi, on the Woldenberg park path, back to the heart of the french quarter. Worth seeing! Sometimes if you are really lucky, the Natchez Steamboat will serenade you and you can hum along to the tunes while you are walking.
