"Our reception was absolutely perfect. Only Purdue University can pull off such elegant and beautiful events. The event staff were so professional and made sure that we didn't have to worry about a single detial duruing the event. The food was absolutely amazing (beef tenderloin and grilled swordfish duet)...I don't think a single plate had food left on it. :) The student staff was amazing from the cocktail hour until the clean-up, which is also all done for you. My only advice is to clearly state your wishes for storage of stuff after the event - to be picked up the next day and to make sure the event coordinator is on board with your insturctions, not just the student staff as they did listen to me and threw away all of centerpieces that were to be for family members, the church, etc. However, I HIGHLY recommend the PMU for your wedding reception - or ceremony as they can accommodate all. "Incredible! We hosted the rehersal dinner, wedding reception, and a post wedding breakfast here. The Faculty Lounges are nicely sized for smaller groups. The Ballroom was lovely with ample room for our 200 guests. Wonderful, helpful staff who are open to exploring and accomodating less mainstream ideas. Food was good, plentiful and beautifully presented. The staff helped us tremendously when our DJ didn't show. Their attention to detail was truly appreciated and non-intrusive. Lots of neat places for pictures. The hotel rooms are a bit small but well maintained and comfortable. Having a suite for the weekend allowed for very comfortable entertainment options of our guests. Highly recommend PMU!"
