Honolulu Wedding In October
"Known as Leahi (brow of the tuna) in Hawaiian, the crater was named Diamond Head by 19th century British sailors who thought they discovered diamonds on the crater's slopes. These "diamonds" were actually shiny calcite crystals that had no value. Formed more than 100,000 years ago, the crater was used as a strategic military lookout beginning in the early 1900's and was named a National Natural Landmark in 1968. Today, Diamond Head is a popular hiking destination with panoramic views of Waikiki and Oahu's south shore."

"Diamond Head is a famous volcanic crater. It's located on the South-east Coast of O'ahu at the end of Waikiki overlooking the Pacific Ocean. There's a 1.6 mile (round trip) trail up to the observation deck, some parts of the trail are steep and there are many stairs. Moderate difficulty. http://www.hawaiistateparks.org/hiking/oahu/index.cfm?hike_id=2"

Leilani & JR's Wedding
"a set hiking trail. Mostly paved, and also with 2 set of stairs. You get a 180 degree view of the island."
Tiffany and Jason's Wedding
"Hike Diamond Head for a great panoramic view of Waikiki and Honolulu."
Ricardo and Desha's Wedding
"This is a fun place if you like to hike up a mountain. The view can't be beat but getting there is not easy. Diamond Head is a defining feature of the view known to residents and tourists of Waik?k? alike. The volcanic cone is a United States State Monument. While part of it serves as a platform for antennas used by the U.S. government and is closed to the public, the crater's proximity to Honolulu's resort hotels and beaches makes the rest of it a popular destination."
