"Waimea Falls is located in the beautiful 1,800-acre Waimea Falls Park. There is a fee to enter this park. The best way to experience this park is to rent a car. If you are lucky you might be able take a swim in the lagoon and go under the Falls. Swimming in the falls is not always possible so you should call the park before you get your swim suit ready. One of our favorite place to walk around and spend a day on the grounds. Beware of the peacocks, they like hamburgers and fries."

"The north shore's Waimea Valley is beautiful, as is Waimea Beach across the street. In the winter the Beach hosts big-wave surfing contests that are really amazing."
