Sandy Springs Wedding In September
"Stone Mountain Park is the world's largest piece of granite with the world's largest carving in it (3 confederate generals). A tramway / lift (or hike) to the top provides a beautiful view of the surrounding area, as well as hiking trails, mini-golf and other activities, shopping, and a nighttime laser and fireworks show."
Andrea and Ryan's Wedding
"hike up the mountain or take a cable car up the mountain for beautiful views all around Georgia! Visit the 4D theatre, ride the ducks, play mini golf, ride the train around the mountain and don't forget the FREE Lasershow Spectacular at night!"
Atlanta Wedding In May
"Stone Mountain is a unique experience. It is a granite dome monadnock covering 583 acres. The mountain is 825 feet tall and the top of the mountain is 1,683 feet above sea level. Stone Mountain is claimed to be the largest exposed granite 'stone' in the world. Stone Mountain is well known for the carving on it of three figures of the Confederate States of America: Stonewall Jackson, Robert E. Lee, and Jefferson Davis. The entire carved surface of the Memorial Carving measures three acres, larger than a football field. The carving of the three men towers 400 feet above the ground, measures 90 by 190 feet, and is recessed 42 feet into the mountain. The deepest point of the carving is at Lee's elbow, which is 12 feet to the mountain's surface."
Kristina and Abhay's Wedding
"Stone Mountain Park is a fantastic place for a day hike or picnic. We have many fond memories here and our ceremony venue (Rhodes Hall) exterior was made completely from rocks bought from Stone Mountain when they used to sell it."
Alicia and Aloysius's Wedding

Atlanta Wedding In August
"The best view of Atlanta is from the top of Stone Mountain. It's a good hike to the top, or you glide up in the SkyRide."
Atlanta Wedding In July
"The park is one of Atlanta's biggest attractions, lots of hiking, a Skyride that takes you to the top of the mountain, and the famous laser show (nightly at 9:30 and enhanced for the 25th anniversary this year)."
Mary and Josh's Wedding
"With over 3,200 acres of natural beauty, the Park is a unique and fun destination where one can enjoy the outdoors while experiencing a huge variety of attractions, entertainment and recreation. The centerpiece of the Park is Stone Mountain, with the Confederate Memorial Carving depicting Robert E. Lee, Stonewall Jackson, and Jefferson Davis on horseback. The carving was begun by sculptor Gutzon Borglum, whose next project was to be Mt. Rushmore. The Memorial is the world's largest bas-relief carved on the world's largest exposed granite outcropping. Take a Swiss cable car to the top of The Rock to get a stunning view of the carving and ascend more than 825 feet above ground, or hike 1.3 miles to the top of the mountain. From the top, experience amazing views of the Atlanta skyline, the Appalachian Mountains, and more up to 60 miles away. In November, A Stone Mountain Christmas will be in full swing, with the NEW Coca-Cola Snow Mountain, nightly fireworks, train rides, a Jingle Bell bonfire, and more holiday treats."
