"Our May 29th wedding at Longboat Key Club was exactly what we had hoped it would be. We were a little concerned about the heat getting married in late May, but we ended up with beautiful weather and LBK club went above and beyond to create our special day. We had an intimate, beach side, sunset ceremony and then our guest headed over to Island House for cocktail hour and reception. It is very nice to have everything on site and LBK Club provides transportation from the beach to the Island House. Unfortunately, we were too busy visiting with our guest to eat any of the food but our friends and family still rave about the food six months later. The best part about having our wedding at LBK Club was that most of our guests were staying at the resort for the holiday weekend which made it a mini vacation for everyone. If we could do it all over again we would not change a thing. Our wedding was very casual but they have several options available if someone is looking for something more elegant.
