Carrie and John 's Wedding
3820 N. 30th St., Colorado Springs, CO 80904   |   August, 2009   |   Natural Attraction

"Not only is Pike's Peak railway a scenic and fun way to get to the top of Pike's Peak (the biggest mountain in sight at 14,100 feet above sea level), it's also very close to both the Pike's Peak trail head, and the Manitou Springs Incline--a challenging trail that goes 2,000 feet straight up on old railway ties. The Incline is not for those who have just arrived in Colorado, and should not be traveled or without lots of water. If you take the railway, you'll be at the summit in about 2.5 hours."

"If you don't feel like hiking, and want to sit back and enjoy a beautiful trip up to the top of Pikes Peak, this is the way to go!"

"A great way to experience Pikes Peak! A tourist must! You can drive the road up but usually closed to the peak in the winter. The railway runs snow or sun!"

Tara and Bryan's Wedding
Colorado Springs   |   October, 2008   |   Great Hikes

"Not only is Pike's Peak railway a scenic and fun way to get to the top of Pike's Peak (the biggest mountain in sight at 14,100 feet above sea level), it's also very close to both the Pike's Peak trail head, and the Manitou Springs Incline--a challenging trail that goes 2,000 feet straight up on old railway ties. The Incline is not for those who have just arrived in Colorado, and should not be traveled or without lots of water. Bryan's fastest time to the top is about 45 minutes, but don't go trying to be record breakers. If you take the railway, you'll be at the summit in about 2.5 hours, as opposed to the 10.5 hours it took Tara and Bryan to hike up the 7,500 ft climb on foot."

Jennifer and Roger's Wedding
Colorado Springs   |   September, 2008   |   Attraction

"A must-do while in Colorado! Pike's Peak is one of our most well-known fourteeners and the railway is a fun and unique way to see the mountain."

Ryan and Dinaida's Wedding
Black Forest   |   August, 2008   |   Attraction

"This is the world's highest cog railroad, the highest Colorado railroad AND the highest train in the United States! It takes you to the summit of Pikes Peak, at a whopping 14,110 feet. For those of you up for a workout, you can hike to the summit. For those of you up for a harrowing adventure, you can drive to the summit. Best of all, there are donuts waiting for you up at the top!"
