"A friend told me about the lodge and I immediately set up an appointment to check it out. Good thing I was ahead of the game because they were already booked out a year and a half in advance (which was ok because that was what we were planning on anyway). Here are a few of the rules that I've heard many people complain about... 1) you can't hang things on the walls. No matter if you swear you'll take it down afterwards or are using tape/stickies/the hooks that come right off. NOTHING is to be hung/stuck to the walls. 2) No hard alcohol 3) If you are having your ceremony outside the lodge you can't "throw things" this includes petals, rice and bird food. The hardest one for us was not sticking things to the walls. I was afraid the lodge would look too "lodgey" but after we got done decorating it was beautiful! I think the windows were a big winner for me. I loved them when I first looked at the place I loved them at our wedding and I love them in the background of our wedding pictures looking back now! We were able to use the gazebo located not far from the lodge for pictures and we could of used it for the ceremony but we chose to do it at the end of the sidewalk. As far as the alcohol goes..we just got a keg and we made sangria and it was fine. We didn't have people throw things after the ceremony. We just handed them all bubbles on their way to their seats to blow after the ceremony as we were coming back down the aisle. We didn't have any problems with the Rangers "kicking us out early". In fact we had to call them to come get the key. They did a quick walk thru to make sure everything looked good and that was it. They were very pleasant to work with. Overall if I had to suggest any place in the Wentzville area I would definitely suggest the Quail Ridge Lodge. It was beautiful, they were easy to work with and for the price I couldn't of asked for anything better!"
