Athens Wedding In September
"The Botanical Gardens venue was lovely and the staff was nice, but we felt like everything was a little disorganized. We had trouble initially confirming our date. We agreed to empty the chapel early for the next wedding, but we had trouble getting confirmation in writing about the time we were supposed to leave, the expectations, and the amount we would be credited. It worked out, but it took a lot of follow-up. One key piece of information the staff neglected to tell us was that the day our wedding took place was also "Bug Day". If we had known, we would have gladly put additional parking information and requested for someone to direct traffic. (A lot of patrons were parking near the chapel forcing our guests to park by the visitor's center.) In addition, we requested (and paid for) A/V setup at our reception. During our rehearsal, we found out no one had actually been scheduled to test the system, and on the day of the wedding we actually had to ask friends of ours to set it up because no one from the Botanical Gardens actually came to set it up. It all worked out, but it was a lot of hassle and extra work on our end that should have been organized and taken care of the staff."
