"The venue itself is beautiful, but they definitely left a bad taste in our mouths post-wedding. Long story short, it is a private residence and they only allow you to be in the actual house for about an hour an a half. We arrived early and asked if it was okay if we can go into the house and the venue contact said it was not a problem. Unfortunately, two of our guests got into a car accident right outside of the property so that delayed our ceremony start time. So that forced our Wedding Party to stay in the house a little longer as well. After the wedding, we received what was left of our deposit. Apparently, they charged us over $400 for "overtime" of being in the house. NEVER ONCE did they tell us what that overtime rate was and that we would get charged for it. They did not mention it to myself, my spouse or our wedding coordinators. I definitely thought that was bad form and not the appropriate way to handle the situation. It's sad because our wedding day was PERFECT aside from that incident. This venue would have been 5 stars had I not received sub-par & unprofessional service before and after the wedding."
