"Our ceremony was on a stormy day so the courthouse was deserted and the rain cleared about 2 hours before our wedding, the pictures could not be more gorgeous of the clock tower views with blue skies and puffy white clouds. Everyone I show these pictures too can't believe it's free to get married here. The only downside is it is a public place and there were some people watching our wedding, but it wasn't that big of a deal to us...perfect spot for a small wedding (clock tower only holds 25 people, we had 16)."

"The Santa Barbara Courthouse is a beautiful location and the Mural Room is fabulous. We got this room for $240 for a 2 hour block. They provide 3 blocks of 2 hours and we chose the latest block, 2:30-4:30pm. The room was just perfect for us and requires very little decoration. We opted not to have any ceremony flowers beyond the personals, bouquets, boutonnieres etc. One thing, the room has not been fitted with air conditioning or heaters as to not compromise the historical structure. Because of this the room takes on the temperature of outside. It was 68 degrees on our day so it was perfect! It is a fantastic ceremony site and I would highly recommend using this site."

Hardly a Sunday afternoon goes by that a festival, concert or get together of some sort isn't taking advantage of the beauty of this setting. The architecture of this building is quite beautiful and all the details are well thought out. Hand-painted ceilings, wrought iron chandeliers, giant murals, imported tiles give this relatively new building an ancient feel. Believe it or not, this building is a fully functional courthouse where lawyers and judges actually handle judicial business! Of course, no trip to the courthouse would be complete without an ascent to the tower, which offers 360"
