"*P&D* favorite! Welcome to the Haight Street stratosphere. It's still refreshing and nostalgic walking into this place knowing technology has not put them under yet. And, I always get a buzz thinking about all genres and subcultures brought together under one roof. There's no place else like this on earth. Lots of vinyl. Huge used CD space. They have VHS goodness but not sure of 8 track or DAT. You cannot go wrong with the bargain bin! Some of my favorite albums can be found for $1.99 and it's unopened!! Why it's only $1.99 and still available is beyond me, but I don't care!! I truly love the little book they put out every so often of their picks for the year. Some really obscure stuff that you would never think to have bless your ears, but I'm always pleasantly surprised. You'll get lost in there... in a good way. Sometimes we all need to get lost every now and then and Amoeba is the perfect place to do so. by: D"
