Our Wedding
"The Gaslamp Quarter is located in the heart of Downtown San Diego. It's eight blocks long (from Broadway to Harbor Drive) and two blocks wide (from Fourth to Sixth Avenues). There is parking in nearby parking lots and garages. Metered spots are Free on Sunday. The Gaslamp Quarter is home to more than 125 restaurants, coffeehouses and nightclubs. We are also proud to have nearly another hundred unique shops and galleries. So whether you opt for traditional food with a flair or shopping for something a bit off the beaten path, your visit to the Gaslamp Quarter will be a truly unique experience. Walking to the Gaslamp Quarter: The Gaslamp is across the street from Horton Plaza, the San Diego Convention Center, Petco Park and San Diego's core business district. Gaslamp is also a a short walk from many Downtown hotels. Find Gaslamp Quarter Association approved Hotels on our Lodging Page. Insider Parking - Get hints and secrets that make Gaslamp parking a snap: Hint #1 - Parking in the Garages! Look for the 6th & K Parkade, Park-it-on-Market at 6th and Market St and two big garages off 7th ave, just north of E St. Even the Convention Center has public parking available on most days. Hint #2 - Office Buildings Try parking at office buildings. Surface parking lots are the easiest to see, but they fill up fast. A good strategy is to use the hundreds of open parking spaces located in office buildings. A little research on the gaslamp.org webpage will pay off when driving downtown. Hint #3 - Park & Ride. San Diego trolley provides many great locations for you to park your car and ride a short distance into downtown. Look for the stops indicating available parking with a P symbol on this MAP Downtown San Diego Tranportation, Parking & Events link for more info: http://www.sandiego.gov/eventsparking/index.shtml San Diego Trolley Map & Timetables: Follow this link for a map of San Diego Trolley System and timetables. http://www.sdcommute.com/Rider_Information/Trolley/Trolleymap.asp More Transit Information at: www.sdcommute.com"

"The heart of downtown SD. A ton of food and music. This is where you'll find a variety of hot spots. You'll be able to dance the night away at one of the many night clubs. During the day there is shopping and you're just a stone's throw away from Petco Park"

San Diego Wedding In March
"The Gaslamp Quarter is a 16 1/2 block historical neighborhood in downtown San Diego, California. Its main period of development began in 1867, when Alonzo Horton bought the land in hopes of creating a new city center closer to the bay, and chose 5th Avenue as its main street. The Quarter is home to many events and festivals, including Mardi Gras in the Gaslamp, Taste of Gaslamp and ShamROCK, a St. Patrick's Day event. PETCO Park, home of the San Diego Padres is located one block away in downtown San Diego's East Village. Croce's Restaurant & Jazz Bar, named after famous singer Jim Croce, is also located in the Quarter. It includes 94 historic buildings, most of which were constructed in the Victorian Era, and are still in use with active tenants including restaurants, shops and nightclubs."

"San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter is an historic eight by two block neighborhood. Today it is packed with shopping, restaurants, and nightclubs. Horton Plaza is a great and fun-looking multi-level shopping mall. The San Diego Padre's stadium, Petco Park, is also in this area. Check out Ghiradelli's Ice Cream Shop and Fred's Mexican Cafe!"

"As the sun sets, the Gaslamp Quarter streets transform into a nighttime playground where the scene is pumping. Every night of the week, there is something happening from special events to dancing, wine tastings to dinner shows and karaoke to coffee houses. Take in a movie, enjoy live theatre or visit a Fine Art gallery. The Gaslamp Quarter is truly the heart of nightlife in San Diego!"

"Great for downtown restaurants and bars, 4th and 5th street south of Broadway. Best place to park is Horton Plaza shopping mall where you can park free for 3 hours. You do have to validate your ticket. Access the parking from 4th Street."
