With over seventy miles of sandy coastline and clear waters (May through August are the warmest) San Diego beaches range from tranquil snorkeling coves and ecological preserves to some of the best surf spots in the world.

This is the most family-friendly beach in La Jolla, frequented by both locals and tourists. Long expanses of sand and gentle waves make this beach a great place to sunbathe, play volleyball, learn to surf, kayak and do other water activities.
