A great place to stroll outdoors with shops and restaurants right next to the bay. You can see Coronado Island with large ships and small boats sailing by. In the summer, you can get a water taxi over to Coronado Island. You can get there via Trolley: Take the Old Town trolley to the American Plaza (it is a nice 4 block walk south from here) or transfer to the southbound orange line trolley to the next stop: Seaport Village.

A 14 acre waterfront shopping, dining and entertainment complex recreating a harbor side setting of a century ago. Includes 54 one of a kind shops, 13 casual dining eateries, 4 fine dining waterfront restaurants. Opened in 1980.

Located on a scenic stretch of the Bay, Seaport Village features gift stores, restaurants and a great old Merry-Go-Round. Spend an afternoon there, grab an ice cream, visit the kite shop or bookstore, and then sit back in the sunshine and just watch people. For food grab a seat on the patio of the Fish Market.
