"The 'other' beach in Charleston. Isle of Palms or IOP is less popular with college students, I find it to be quieter and a little more upscale. There are several restaurants right on the beach. Th food is just ok but if you want a nice place to have a beach drink i recommend The Windjammer, which also frequently has live entertainment at night, or Coconut Joe's."
