Gilbet Wedding In February
"Everything leading up to the Big Day was great. The planning meetings, food tastings, etc. It was beautiful. The night of our reception the staff was awful. We had major problems with so e rowdy guests. They informed me (which they shouldn't have as I was the bride) I spent the rest of the night upset, crying, and trying to smooth things over. They ended up closing our bar down early and therefore most people left. Past of the package is to pay for a security guard, well where was he when all of this was going on? Don't shut down my wedding for a few people they should have dealt with those people and moved on."

"The Castle at Ashley Manor was awesome. The wonderful staff and coordinators were helpful, timely and friendly. They were always there to answer questions and provide input. They are to credit for the amazing reception we had!"
"I would give it a 3.5. Beautiful place! Customer service is great at the beginning. Had some communication issues with them later in the process."

"Ashley Manor was AMAZING! This vendor actually has two properties: The Ashley Manor and Ashley Castle. We had our wedding at the Manor. The venue of the manor is a very intimate and private, garden setting, perfect for an outdoor sunset ceremony. The reception hall is light, airy and has a lot of windows. It's really charming. The castle property is interesting, but as I was never a fan of the fairy-tale castle aesthetic, I didn't care for the castle. It's a beautiful property, just not my style. Their Sunset Package was great, they take care of so many of the details with this package (catering, cake, flowers, venue, DJ, on-site wedding coordinator and more) and you have a choice among the vendors, all of whom were extremely professional. I felt like I actually got to enjoy my own wedding instead of running around with a large binder of stuff trying to figure out who/what needed to be taken care of. Cynthia and Kiera (the wedding planners) were fabulous, they made sure everything ran smoothly, were helpful with suggestions about planning, vendor recommendations, and were great about little emergencies that inevitably pop up during the day. For example, in the rush to the wedding, we'd completely forgotten to assign ushering duties for the guests. Cynthia realized the problem, corralled some family members and took care of it. Another example: before the cake cutting, the hem of my wedding dress ripped! Cynthia dashed off, discreetly took care of it and we got to the cake cutting without a hitch. I never felt rushed or like we were on a schedule. the DJ (Geoff Nelson) was so professional. He was a great Master of Ceremonies, very understated and never took over really. He had a knack for getting people on the dance floor, even though there were so many different people and musical tastes to which he had to cater. He's really open to suggestions, and was able to play a variety of music, from pop hits to th traditional dance music played in Sri Lankan weddings. He was great about letting us greet all our guests, many of whom had come from around the globe, instead of trying to stay strict to a schedule. The package was VERY reasonable, great if you're a busy person like me who can't stand being bothered by the minute details of making a wedding into a third full time job and just wants to have a fun party! Ashley Manor is really great about working with you, your style, and your budget. We never felt pressured to go with a certain vendor over another. The house florist Traci was fabulous about working with our colors, our budget, and style, substituting in-season, more budget conscious flowers as we needed. The Cake from Nancy Rae was really tasty and quite pretty. There was a lot to choose from that came with the package and again, everything was easy to tailor to our own specifications. The Catering by Atlasta was great, they had a lot of variety. the portabella mushroom pistachio ravioli vegetarian option is particularly good. Understandably, the venue is quite popular, so book early (at least a year in advance) especially during the spring and fall months. If you're willing to have the wedding reception and ceremony at the site on a Friday or Thursday night, you may have more flexibility with date choices and package pricing. Ashley Manor really made our wedding memorable, and for all the right reasons! I recommend them for every wedding"
