Go above it all and see the Zoo from a new perspective! Hop on the Sky Safari across from the South American Yard and travel near animal habitats including Rhinos, Wolves and Sea Lions.
In 2005, the Zoo opened the newly renovated Northwestern Mutual Family Farm, formerly the Children’s Zoo. Visitors can now get up-close with native wildlife and farm animals, as educational presentations are offered daily in the new Stackner Animal Encounter Building. A “play and climb” area, walk-through butterfly garden and renovated Birds of Prey Theater complete the experience.
Hop aboard our legendary Zoofari Express, featuring both steam and diesel locomotives. The Safari Train Station is the visitor boarding area for a scenic seven minute miniature train trip through the woods and meadows of the Zoo.
The Milwaukee County Zoo is a serene home to more than 1,700 mammals, birds, fish, amphibians and reptiles with more than 350 species represented. Recognized as one of the country’s finest zoological attractions, the Milwaukee County Zoo serves as a resource to educate, entertain and inspire.

If you are in to animals like we are, the zoo is a perfect place to have your guests come for free to the zoo to see the animals before the reception. The Pecks Welcome Center was big enough and suited us perfectly.
