This is an amazing piece of architecture, and a great place to hang out and watch the boaters on Lake Monona.

We were unable to get a room with windows, but the Hall of Ideas ended up working with much decoration by friends and family. We hung 100 photos of past gatherings all over the walls so guests had something to look at between dinner and dancing. The food really was not good. The wine selection was okay. The University Club may have been better, but was not available when we needed it. On the actual wedding day, the staff was excellent! If you have your reception here, stay at the Hilton and pay the $15 to get your gifts carried to your room so no one else has to do it. It's connected to the Hilton which is also very convenient.

A short walk up the hill from the Ruby Marie, be sure to visit this modern landmark. Definitely take in the roof views and the main room on the second floor with the gorgeous windows! There is a cafe inside, but we've never eaten in it.

We were very happy with our loctaion, roof deck ceremony and reception in the Community room. The views from the Terrace are amazing, as a Madison native standing between the Capitol and Lake Monona was the perfect setting. The Terrace is a beautiful building which is easy to get to for guests and the experienced catering staff makes the whole process easy.
