My fiancee' and I are aiming to marry this Fall. We recently found that we are on a much tighter budget than we thought... we are going to need a ceremony venue that costs very little. I have been looking at churches and chapels that are low cost and ultimately are self decorated. Historical churches, etc.
Does anynone know of any pretty churches? Or gardens? Anything that might be willing to rent for a small wedding??? We can't afford thousands at this point.
Kinningham House and Park in Round Rock is $200 for 4 hrs for residents and a refundable $100 litter deposit (to make sure you pick up). It can hold 75 people and includes 8 6ft tables and the 75 chairs! Each addl. hour is only $15.
I just booked this for my wedding in March, and it is wonderful. Has a full kitchen and everything. They do not hold the place, so call the parks and rec, go see it and book ASAP if you like it. We had to change our date because someone got to it before us :)
Assuming you are looking in Round Rock, try the Rabb House in Round Rock. I think this is a city facility so it is a little more economical than a private venue. Also look at the BACA Center in Round Rock which is a Senior Center, but certainly has some options for an indoor or outdoor ceremony.
Try the chapel at the Baptist Children's Home. I understand it is quite affordable. It's not heavily decorated, but it's pretty on its own, so you won't need elaborate decor.
Call the City of Round Rock and ask for the Parks & Recreation department. Ask them which city facilities rent out for weddings. City/state venues are almost always cheaper than almost anything else. The City works very hard to work with their citizens. They will do anything they can to help you find something to keep your even (and the tax revenue it will generate) in Round Rock. Once you find a place, ask them for suggestions for other wedding vendors, too. Also look at the members of their Chamber of Commerce ( http://roundrockchamber.org/ ).
Best of luck finding the space and all the vendors you need within your budget.
...because everything should be just As You Wish, Lori
