BEWARE of Lakeway Resort & Spa!

Dawn Davies from Lakeway Resort & Spa is horrible to work with. I am far from being a picky Bridezilla (I am super laidback and calm), and I am ridiculously upset with how she works. Weddings and event planning is far from what she needs to be doing.

It should not take over 10 *business* days to respond to an email asking for vendor referrals. Yes, 10 business days - not including holidays or weekends here! It was a month before the wedding also.

Beware of booking there as long as she's working there...
The other two catering managers I had (yes, both long time employees left during my planning process unfortunately) were outstanding. I'm not sure how she happened to get into Lakeway. :(

I started looking at reviews after the similar experience with Dawn Davies at Lakeway. I wish I had insisted we change planners when I complained a month ago. Yes, she needs to be doing anything but planning. Same scenario, long times to answer emails and not answering all questions.

I actually work for Lakeway Resort and Spa. Everyday I go to work and hope to give all of our clients the experience I would want to have... the wedding I would want... the meeting... the weekend with someone special. That is why I love the hospitality industry. It allows you to take part in helping others create GREAT memories.

I just wanted to let you know that the Executive Team has reviewed the comments and concerns posted. It is nice that there is a forum like this so that we can learn and become aware of opportunities.
