I would not go to the Oasis for the rehearsal dinner. We took everyone out there for Thursday night that was in from out of town because of the views, but the service is ho-hum and the food is not great. The views and experience make people go out there, but if want good service and food, I would go somewhere else.

Every time I've been there it's been fantastic all around!

It's a beautiful spot but don't expect to be wowed by the food. It is bascially a tourist trap - so it's a little $$ for sub-par food and fru-fru drinks. The location is sure to please your out of town guests and they have beautiful private dining spaces too. Just depends on if the focus you want is food, or the city/lake/view. (Oh, and if the attendees are from someplace that does not have Tex-mex food - they will think it's great since they don't know any better!)

You go to the oasis for the view, not the food! For that reason we had our rehearsal dinner at the saltlick and it was awesome! We rented out the garden room for about 80 people. We chartered a bus out there and everyone raved about how good the food was and how awesome the atmosphere was. It was a set price for about 80 guests, so it didn't matter if you had 30 or 80 guests come. We had our best friends take out beer and wine ahead of time. The saltlick iced everything down for us. If you have any interest in booking the place, make sure to book early!! Good luck!
