Huntington Beach State Park is always beautiful. There is an old castle there called Atalaya that lots of couples get married at, or you can do it right on the beach. It is technically located in Murrells Inlet, but that is only about 10-15 minutes south of Myrtle Beach. I am actually getting married across the street at Brookgreen Gardens which is nice if you are looking for a garden setting.

I had the same problem you can't get married on Myrtle beach they have a law you have to go to North Myrtle Beach. If you Have a Justice of the peace they should know all the rules just contact any JP there they were all helpful I just changed it to North Myrtle beach

Have you thought about getting married in Pawley's Island?

No I actually haven't. Is there a place there to get married on the beach? We are paying for everything ourselved and I just want something for close friends and relatives. My reception will be back in Charlotte, NC.

We're paying for the wedding ourselves, too. I'm a teacher and he's in the construction field. We can't afford too much, but I love the little chapel on Pawley's. It is $275 (all fees, to include clean-up, are in that price) to rent it out, and the window overlooks the inlet and the beach is across the street. If you call Pawley's Island Realty, they can help you with all the legal answers as to if you can get married ont he beach. Who knows- you may want to rent a home there and wake up, walk out on your private boardwalk, and get married. It's beautiful!

I'm actualy doing the same thing in April! I'm getting married on the beach! I actualy talked to the Chamber of COmmerce there and there isn't a law saying you can't get married on the beach! In fact someone I know just got married at Springmaid.... which is in S myrtle beach! They say it's more secluded and private past 34th Ave. North!! Hope this helps! As long as it isn't a commerial wedding your good!!
