We got married at Easton's Beach Rotunda. It is not an outdoor tent but they have a huge wrap around deck for outside cocktail hour and smokers. It is very convenient to a lot of hotels in the Middletown area and since its on the other side of Newport was less expensive. We actually had very bad weather and had to move our beach side ceremony inside but its great they could accommodate a plan B! We are definitely drinkers and dancers and everything worked out great. I think I've seen tents set up near the Naval Center near the newport bridge too. Good luck!

Thanks for you replies. Kostakatie: I was looking at the Eastons beach. We are prob going to have around 150 people....did you find it got a bit expensive having to bring everything in on your own....food, cutlery all that? I'm exciting about bringing in my own booze as we all know the Irish will be pounding it down! I do really like the Eastons idea.

NO that was the beauty of it, being able to pick and choose the vendors. Yes you can bring in your own booze which helps a lot but after that I think you should get a caterer to take care of food, cutlery, linens etc. i.e. if you spend more on a caterer you can always do less with centerpieces and not use real flowers at all but go with a lobster trap, candle or other beach theme centerpiece.
