I am searching for someone to come to my room for my hair and make-up for myself and maid of honor. however ever person I have contacted is so unreasonably price. I will not pay $400 just for myself. does anyone have a suggestion?
I used a guy name Allan Aponte , at first when I was looking for a make up artist the prices were rediculous however she I met Allan he was reasonable and super creative ! He works for Mac at las plazas Americas and we did a trial when I came to visit 4 months prior to the wedding date , what made me contract this guy was his fee included retouches from start until finish he was with me the whole time and a true professional he also did my entourages make up and they were impressed ! He was the only guy I worked with that was on time too lol , he is a guy who doesn't do it full time but he love what he does you can see it !
Here is his email : email@example.com If you would like to discuss rates with him I believe if you are into photos he is worth the investment :)
Miguel is AMAZING and very reasonably priced! He came to my hotel room at the Conrad in San Juan just before 5am with a positive attitude and quick fingers! He did hair and makeup for myself, mother of both the bride and groom, flower girl, and 5 bridesmaids! I had a 2 o'clock wedding and we were done within a few hours with plenty of time before the ceremony. He also did a makeup and hair trial the night before but out-did himself for my actual wedding! I have yet to post pictures on my weddingmapper account but will be sure to soon.
I'm not sure who you've already contacted but my wife contacted Caridad Vidro, Epy Joel and Euforia. We ultimately flew a friend in who did hair/makeup so I can't comment on the work of those we contacted.
Javier Moreno is your guy. He's did my makeup and hair and all my bridesmaids. They all loved him. Everyone looked gorgeous all night long. He will do a trial run as well if you want. He does a lot of work for celebrities in Puerto Rico. Everyone I called were pretty expensive, but it was less than $400.
Just make sure you ask the right questions and review the contracts I got in touch with 5 make up artist wha I have noticed they require a minimum amount of people, you have to pay their parking , they do not do retouches but will for an extra hefty charge , ask what kind of trials they do they usually charge for that on top of the contract and they will do one for free with only half your face also they have date restrictions when they can do it. Just be careful and negotiate with them ... Remember Puerto Rico is humid there will be a lot of hugging and crying involve work with someone who will be there from the beginning until the end without the extra charge :)
I used Caridad Vidro and I absolutely loved her! She was so professional and fun. Light hearted! She did hair and makeup for myself, my mom, mother in law and sisterin- law. I was nervous because my wedding was in July and didn't want my make up to melt off my face for our all outdoor wedding (beach and pool deck reception at Stellaris & casino in Candado). She came to my room and did my trial the night before, so I had it for my rehearsal dinner.
I found Qza for my wedding in April when I went to a Wedding Expo. I loved that she did a trial run for me the next night including eyelashes. No charge. She also did my make up for Engagement photos a few months before for almost no cost. On the day of the wedding she came to my hotel and did my makeup, makeup for my mom and three bridesmaids. She even came back to wait after the ceremony so I could do a hair change from veil to flowers for the reception. I LOVED her work. I was so lucky to find her because I too thought I was going to have to spend a fortune on hair and makeup. I'm telling you, you will not be disappointed. Her number 787- 225 7795
