Eclectic comes in many degrees, so not sure about the degree you are looking for. The NAC is nice or even the Chateau Laurier but might not be eclectic enough for your taste. Are you looking for harpists, flutists or give some idea. I am from Ottawa, now live in Calgary and had my wedding in Ottawa only little over 2 years ago. I planned everything from Calgary - cake, food, photographer, wine, dresses - EVERYTHING. Give me more ideas so I can help you better. Thanks.
It completely depends on what your looking for! But here is a list of places I would consider. NAC expensive but gorgeous and you can have ceremony out on the roof and dinner inside. Stonebridge manor great photo ops and can be held inside and out Centurion conference and event center my recommendation would to only have your reception there good food options and reasonably priced Check out eighteen in stitssville Last one is the Canadian golf and country club amazing beautiful place the owner is really nice
My best advice is stay away from golf clubs (except the above)and The Palace do not even attempt it they are scam artists.golf clubs tend to be more expensive. Call places don't email I had the hardest time getting a hold of any one If there is anything else I can help with feel free to email me
Thank you so much! Your advice is awesome! So from your description it seems like you've been around town searching for a place! Have you chosen a venue yet? Also, why did you mention to stay away from golf clubs??
I have my venue it's being held at the centurion in colonnade rd it's a great place. It took a really long time to find the perfect venue for us. It took almost 6 months.
I say stay away from golf courses because they are all the same, pictures are okay food is always just ok never great and if you want something different a golf course is not the way to go. The golf club I mentioned is about thirty minutes away the club house has three different levels very picturesque has it's own little garden.
What I found is asking my self what's important location, food, or tradition I went with food because that's what people will talk about the most.
My wedding took over a year to plan, I got engaged December 2012and started planning in January 2013 and I have 5 months to go.
Let me know if you need any other service I have great florist and decorator, and a good cake lady photography like I mentioned is a great friend of mine and is awesome, but I also have other suggestions for each item as well.
That would be great. I am looking for a photographer, so any suggestions would be very helpful. I'm also looking for a reasonably priced decorator for the reception. The centurion is lovely, every wedding I have attended there was very beautiful and the food was on the mark. Also, the service there is always great from what I have seen.
