Outdoor Wedding Reception Space

I am looking for a space large enough for an outdoor wedding reception for 200 people.
Ideally somewhere in the country just outside of Guelph.
Does anyone know anyone that rents their property for weddings?

You might want to check Cox Creek Cellars winery or Rockwood Conservation Area. The Arboretum at the University probably also does outdoor receptions.

Good luck!

Thank you for your suggestions! I will check out the winery, I didn't know about that place. The Rockwood Conservation area is not taking wedding bookings for next year as of now, they have to fix a part of the ruins and are not sure when it will be finished. I did check the University but it seems like alot of work to do an outdoor reception there.

Another place you might want to try is Goldie Mill. I know they do outdoor receptions. They're located behind the Guelph Youth Music Centre. It's run by the City of Guelph. It only sits 160 though.

There is also the space behind the Boathouse - I know people who set up a tent back there - but again, not for 200 (about 100). Not sure if they'd have the space.

I remember, as well, that the Guelph Wine and Beer festival was held on the grounds outside the River Run. They do have a larger area there where tents could be put up.

Or Riverside Park has pavilions people can rent - so I would imagine the city would rent it out for a wedding and you could add tents. I think there have been events there where a liqour license has been issued - so it's a thought (right by the floral clock would be great for photos).

I hope some of those help too.

There's also a nice garden in Riverside Park called the Accessible Gardens. A friend of mine went to a wedding ceremony there and said it was nice, along the river and lots of room.
