There's a woman named Milka who works out of Ichiban Salon in Westlake. I know it's not east side, but they recently dropped their prices (a mani is $21), and she is absolutely THE BEST. If you go to her once or twice before the wedding, she will have your nails in really good shape by the big day - without having to do acrylics. 3 manicures costs much less than one set of acrylics, and your hands will be in better shape too. I've been going to her every 10 days for the last 2 years; she has a cult following on the westside. Give her a try! 440.356.9988 is Ichiban's number.

There is a place on Cedar Road, just west of the intersection of Cedar and Warrensville called Liz Nails. It is definately not a spa experience. But more like what you'd expect to get at a tiny nail salon in New York or Chicago. They do a fantastic job! A pedicure is $25... I think a combo is around $40 or so. No need to make an appointment. But if you want to, you can just call earlier in the day. It is on the south side of Cedar kind of near the Subway I think. It would be a 10 minute drive from Shaker, or even less depending on where you are.

Milka did my nails for my wedding! I had no idea she was so popular since it was the first time I'd been there. She did a wonderful job and it lasted so long. She's very sweet and easy to talk to.

Le Nails at Westfield/Southpark Mall in Strongsville is wonderful. I've never had my nails crack/break or have nail polish chip off immediately. It's about $30 and well worth it!
