Hi, I photograph many weddings in and around High Falls, NY and you know, you're right, there is no way to find a phone number. What I would do is to call these two churches and leave a message if no one answers and ask if the pastor knows how to get in touch with someone from the Clove Chapel. It is so adorable, I don't blame you for wanting to have a service there and the surrounding area for after ceremony photos would be perfect. You could also call John Novi at the DePuy Canal House as he has receptions there and may know. His number is 845-687-8700; Here are the other two churches in High Falls. High Falls Community Church Mohonk RdHigh Falls (845) 687-0910 and Pastor Alison may know at Christ the King Episcopal Route 213 Stone Ridge (845) 687-9414 and Marbletown Reformed Church Route 209 Stone Ridge(845) 687-7701. I will email a few folks in the High Falls Club and see if they have a number and get back if I find out anything. Good Luck. Photosbyrochelle.com Blessings, Rochelle
Thanks so much for the information. We aren't actually looking to reserve the chapel. We recently bought the stone house just down the street. It is a second home for us, as we live in California and our daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter live in Brooklyn. They got married at Shadow Lawn in October of 2008 and fell in love with High Falls, especially this area. We have fixed up the house and are also renting it as a vacation home on VRBO and have just recently had an inquiry about having a wedding at the house...which we are not interested in. They also asked about the Clove Chapel and that's when I started tying to find a contact name and number or email for them and couldn't. I still would like to know, so I will contact the two churches as you suggested. Please let me know if you find out anything from the member of the High Falls Club...by the way, what is the High Falls Club?
Hi Susan, Actually it's officially called the High Falls Civic Association and here's the website: www.highfallscivic.org. They organize all the activities in High Falls, such as the High Falls Fair Day, which was two weeks ago; The High Falls Pet Show, usually around the middle of May; and the next event is their annual whiffle ball tournament. Check out the website it's a nice bunch of folks that try to make "The Center of the Universe", the unofficial slogan and name for High Falls, a fun place to live and visit. Shadow Lawn is just great, I know the guys that own it and they do a spectacular job. Eat at the Egg's Nest, funky, great prices, and The Pilgrim's Feast is wonderful and their huge nachos will fill a horse. Richard Murphy is quite a character, he's the owner. You have probably been there already, but if not definitely go! Welcome to the area, if only part-time, and if you need a housecleaner for when a renter is coming--I do that also. In fact, that's the only constant that pays the bills. email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you need prep for guests. Best, Rochelle
