I met with the owner/coordinator there... I couldn't wait to get out. The place has great views but the interior is very early 90s and she is very opinionated. She includes a lot, but you have to deal with her first and she wasn't very excited about any of my ideas (which weren't even too off beat)... she felt the interior was fine as is, which it isn't. I'd keep shopping....

If you are looking for a unique estate-like setting, check out Valhalla Grand Hall on the lake in South Shore. My husband and I loved this venue! Our pictures were awesome because of the beautiful setting!
Also, if you are looking for an outstanding photographer, Hall Creations Photography is excellent. Our photographer was fun to work with and she captured our style perfectly!

Agreed! Valhalla is where I chose as well. We can't wait!

Oh my gosh, Congratulations! You guys are going to LOVE it! Are you doing the ceremony and reception there?

We got married at the Fallen Leaf Chapel (which is ADORABLE, but very small) and had the reception at Valhalla. It was a picture perfect wedding! We found it very helpful to have a "day of" coordinator, Sara Jarequi from Lake Tahoe Catering, to help make sure everything ran smoothly. We are not from Tahoe, so it helped us to have someone there to oversee the wedding.

Congrats to you as well! Thanks and yes, we are doing everything there. We live right in the area and Valhalla is very close to our hearts. I checked out your images and it does look picture prefect! Valhalla is just so rustic and fabulous! I'm actually in the wedding industry so the planning side is pretty much set, but I really appreciate the recommendations!
